About Viable Creations

Our Story...

Our company is founded on the mission to produce and distribute highly sustainable products that will not deplete our earth’s most precious resources.

As the founder of Viable Creations I have always had the upmost respect for our earth and all things on it. After spending five plus years in marketing, I was looking for “my purpose” and returned to school to study sustainability. I obtained two degrees in 2013 – Bachelors in Sustainability and Bachelors in Global Studies from Arizona State University.

During my tenure at ASU I became educated in many aspects of sustainable practices. I have worked to be as disciplined as possible to conserve the earth’s resources in my daily life and educate family and friends of these practices as often as I can.

I realized our every day lives and habits can make a big impact on these conservation efforts. This revelation is where I decided to make a place where individuals can confidently obtain products that focus on sustaining our precious resources by offering alternative solutions. In this same place I can pass on the knowledge I have gained about ways we can help preserve our earth’s assets. Welcome to Viable Creations!

Our Products and Goals...

At Viable Creations our on-going objective will be to provide the most earth-friendly products. We take pride in making sure our products are responsibly sourced and packaged. Our goal is to minimize waste – making all aspects of our products and packaging either reusable, repurpose-able, recyclable, and even compostable.

Meet the Founder...

Viable Creations is a Woman Owned Sustainable Small Business. Founded by Debra Shams in 2015. The primary focus of Viable Creations is to provide sustainable household products for everyday consumer use and to promote a “green” lifestyle.

Debra Shams is an Oregon native relocated to Arizona to explore new opportunities in marketing and business in 2006. After returning to school to complete a degree in sustainability, Debra started a family with her husband Shaya. As a mother of a young daughter (five-year-old Suri) and her newborn son (Maziar 6 months), she is a fulltime stay at home mom.

In addition to her role as wife and mother to her family, Debra is an AmeriCorps Volunteer committed to helping other families in her community achieve economic sustainability. By volunteering her time to assist individuals with limited resources and income she has assisted over 100 students secure funds for college tuition and assisted several families purchase a home in the program she volunteers. Her dedication and time does not stop there, she spends any additional time volunteering for her daughter’s school Parent / Teacher Board and coordinates events for school related activities.

While continuing to incorporate her everyday sustainable practices from wife-to-mom-to-volunteer and community advocate she has found it even more crucial to promote the importance for a sustainable lifestyle. Reminded daily by her children to provide a future for them and their children has motivated her to bring Viable Creations to life. Creating products that are not harmful to the earth and the environment around us, bringing those products to market and fostering an ecological routine is her continual goal.
